BIO

Yuuji is the type of guy who's easy to get along with because he's friendly, patient, and a great listener. He comes from a small family in Sendai, Japan, having just his grandfather (until his passing in hospital), and tries his best to fill that void with found family. He yearns to be a dependable friend and Sorcerer, often to the point where he's too hard on himself about circumstances and situations outside of his control. He struggles sometimes with accepting reality and correctly interpreting his role in the course of events, his empathy for others generally taking the wheel and keeping him on the edge of spiraling down into his guilt for never doing enough.

What he lacks in academic prowess, he makes up for in social know-how, demonstrating time and again how able he is to befriend anyone and everyone, even the prickliest of his peers.

CANON POINT

I generally take him from anywhere between when he first enrolls in Jujutsu Tech and the Shibuya arc, though I can be coerced into taking him from after that point including post-canon. Bear in mind that he's in a very different place mentally after everything that happens, and I'm unlikely to approach him in the same way as I would mid-canon.

I'm also always up for a canon fix-it AU, or a canon divergent AU! I generally won't be interested in just a normal high school AU.

Being friendly and a little dumb, Yuuji makes the perfect candidate for a Golden Retriever Boyfriend^TM. He tends to come off somewhat oblivious to flirting, though I think it's more that he focuses on keeping the situation normal unless someone is being direct with him. He is not the type to flirt himself, and would be more inclined to be direct if the situation was right, though his tendency to doubt himself is liable to have him worrying he'd be a burden for asking.

Canon favorites include Megumi and Nobara (together or separately), and Ozawa (mainly for post-canon things), along with Nanami. I'm open to other castmates if you have a particular itch, along with any kind of crosscanon/medium characters.
